This policy explains what personal data Mind Matters Sdn Bhd (Company No. 1409698-V) collects, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you hold over it under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
Last updated: 25 June 2026.
Who we are
Mind Matters Sdn Bhd ("Mind Matters", "we", "us") is an investment-consultancy and software-development firm registered in Malaysia under Company No. 1409698-V, with its registered business address at 155, Jalan Molek 1, Taman Molek, 81100 Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. For any privacy matter you can reach us at samlaw@mindmatters.com.my.
What we collect
We only collect data you choose to give us, plus minimal, privacy-preserving usage data:
- Information you submit — when you request the JS-SEZ Blueprint or contact us, we collect your name, email, company, and any optional details you provide (role, country, phone / WhatsApp, WeChat).
- Messages you send — the content of enquiries you send by email, WhatsApp, or web form.
- Usage analytics — aggregate, cookieless page-view and performance data via Cloudflare Web Analytics, and first-party conversion events (e.g. a blueprint download) logged on our own server. These do not use tracking cookies and do not identify you personally.
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and deliver materials you request (such as the JS-SEZ Blueprint PDF).
- To provide, scope, and administer our consultancy and software-development services.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the website is used so we can improve it.
- To meet legal, regulatory, and record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers who help us operate, and only to the extent needed:
- Resend — delivers our email notifications when you submit a form.
- Cloudflare — hosts the website and provides cookieless analytics.
- Professional advisers or authorities, where required by law or to establish or defend legal claims.
How long we keep it
We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, to maintain our business records, or to comply with legal obligations — after which it is deleted or anonymised.
How we protect it
We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards — including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and access controls — to protect personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information at all times.
Your rights under the PDPA
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you, and ask for a correction if it is inaccurate.
- Withdraw your consent or ask us to stop processing your data for a given purpose.
- Request deletion of your personal data, subject to our legal record-keeping duties.
- Limit the optional information you provide — required fields are kept to the minimum needed to respond.
To exercise any of these rights, email samlaw@mindmatters.com.my. We will respond within a reasonable period.
